The Faces of Hope?

Bob and Gary have been made fun of time and again over the course of this work stoppage. And rightly so. Maybe it's getting a bit old and maybe it's not very amusing any more but I just had to throw my hat in....Just because I can't find hope in recent speculations or meetings. And whatever the outcome -- these two should be characterized as villians for the remainder of their public lives.

I don't know why but that just seems so appropriate. If there is anyone who seems like the sport can go screw itself, it's Bob, now isn't it? Is he really getting the best deal for the Players? Destroying their means of making money is not getting the best deal possible, it's almost a form of character assasination.

And the character happens to be the National Hockey League and the sport of Ice Hockey....

And then we come to Gary....

....after this message, he reportedly issued expanison teams to Pravo, Utah and Perth, Australia. Oblivious? Yes. Shrewd in a business sense? Not hardly - seeing he helped sink this ship known as the NHL. I don't fault Gary entirely because he's the owners lap dog but I have enough problems with him. He's an arena-sports man, not a hockey man. He's worked in the Arena business through the NBA -- not the hockey busienss....

Yes, every time we see Bob and Gary mentioned somewhere near the word "Negotiaations" - we have to remember that these two are not working int eh interest of hockey fans. They are working in the interest of themselves and their own interests aren't entirely apparent with their bickering and back-room dealing.

The faces we have to rely hope on. Oh what a sad state of affairs the sport of Hockey is in right now....
