Contract Time in TB

Jay Feaster is facing the biggest challenge of his career right now but that won't be stopping him from inking a new contract.

Jay gets and extension, as does Torts. Feaster's contract extension runs through 2011 while Tortorella's deal runs through 2008-09. Craig Ramsey and Jeff Reese are also supposed to receive contract extensions.

Also -- Lightning president Bill Campbell was on WTVT's lunchtime program "Your Turn" where he told reporter Chip Carter the team is aiming for a 37 million dollar payroll - with just enough leeway under the cap for late season acquisitions if need be.
