Modin is back… Modin/Richards/Marty as the top line. Affy demoted to 3rd line with Taylor and Craig.

Bummer about Affy….They should have left him on number 2 and put Modin with Artyukhin and Dingman on a “Bruiser” line.

Modin scores!….
as if to tell you to bite your tongue, Alex! :)

I missed it!!! I was letting the dogs out for their evening “meeting.” What are the chances I can get that previous post deleted?
by Alex on Apr 3, 2006 8:00 PM EDT reply actions
LOL! With all the foot-in-mouth things I have said that are still on record on Boltsmag, next to none. :) Sorry bud.

Hope Gratton is OK. The arena has 142 cameras on one side of the ice, but nothing to show us how he injured his leg?
by Alex on Apr 3, 2006 8:03 PM EDT reply actions
I Still think the Bruiser line would be fun to watch, though.
by Alex on Apr 3, 2006 8:05 PM EDT reply actions
Marty put on one hell of a move there… Too bad it was all for nothing.

My buddy (who is at the game) wants to see Artoo get time on one of the top lines…

Lecavalier seems to have had his share of those lately….

LOL! Where’s Gary?
Grats back out. I also gotta say I am looking into chat software
by John F. on Apr 3, 2006 8:11 PM EDT reply actions
I just need to keep talking smack….. so here goes…..Rob Dimaio sucks! He is nothing but rotting meat on a team full of superstars! Let’s see how that does.

Opposite jinx, right…
That never works for me or John Grahame would be up for the Veinza
by John F. on Apr 3, 2006 8:14 PM EDT reply actions
As far as I know, Gary is tied up up with fiancee/wedding stuff. Plus the fact that he lives up in the Great White North means he might not know the game is even on.
by Alex on Apr 3, 2006 8:14 PM EDT reply actions
Fair enough. He’s the only out-of-stater I can routinely count on to comment.
by John F. on Apr 3, 2006 8:17 PM EDT reply actions
John, the way you go on about Grahame, We are talking Vezina-for-life.

Hey, guys. I suck.
As yet further evidence of my emasculation, Erin’s been sick all day, so I’m letting her watch her TV shows for the time being (DVR’d stuff)… as I set up a new monthly finances spreadsheet in effort to get her head around what happens every month, and pay some taxes.
She’ll be going to bed soon enough… then… HOCKEY!
by Gary on Apr 3, 2006 8:23 PM EDT reply actions
Alex: You know I know the game is on. Caps at Canes, too.
by Gary on Apr 3, 2006 8:23 PM EDT reply actions
Here’s hoping she feels better soon, Gary. And no, I am not just saying that so you have more chances to view hockey :P

Sorry for my absence, as even further proof of the Perez Boys Emasculation, I was doing the dishes in the hope that I would be finished with them before Amie gets home from work. Mission accomplished!! As a bonus I even took out the recycling…but I’m sure the garbage man wishes Bass came in cans instead of bottles.

I’d rather be emasculated than living a single life with no prospects. The grass is always greener on the other side though. That’s for another blog and another thread though.
8 left in the second.

better yet, where is Luongo’s agent and Jay Feaster?
by John F. on Apr 3, 2006 8:55 PM EDT reply actions
Would you et Richards go for Luongo? Tough call…I don’t think the higher cap next year will allow us to keep both.
by Alex on Apr 3, 2006 8:59 PM EDT reply actions
The MIAMI Panturds. They don’t represent my whole state.
by Alex on Apr 3, 2006 9:00 PM EDT reply actions
I said on the site a few months back I’d trade Vinny for him. Richards on the other hand… Not so likely.
But Roberto is looking to be on a winner. The Turds are riding on his back every year and only showing a small amount of progress. He’s fed up. Don’t be surprised to see him go to Colorado or out west in the off season.

and I am sick of these Bill Curry Ford commercials on Sun Sports. They are AWFUL!
by John F. on Apr 3, 2006 9:02 PM EDT reply actions
Bill Curry is light years ahead of The Chief doing those mortgage commercials. I will admit he reads a tele-prompter quite well.
by Alex on Apr 3, 2006 9:05 PM EDT reply actions
Those have been running longer than Bill Curry. I guess I have just grown to ignore those pieces of shite
by John F. on Apr 3, 2006 9:07 PM EDT reply actions
Good PK, they just need to clear the puck more than once every 1:30.
by Alex on Apr 3, 2006 9:09 PM EDT reply actions
Erin’s still up… but I caught part of the Caps game (she’s not a Bolts fan). Things are tied up in Carolina. Go Bolts!

Close call there at the end of the 2nd. Gonna switch over and watch the UF – UCLA game. I’ll have the Bolts on the little screen in the corner, so as to experience the Gators in all of their High Def glory.
Post (talk) at you later, John.
Gary, check your e-mail.

Re: the Luongo save under review… doesn’t look like a goal to me…
by Gary on Apr 3, 2006 9:33 PM EDT reply actions
Gary, I think I may have a chat program – flash based – on the site to replace comments in teh future for day-of-game talk.
by John F. on Apr 3, 2006 9:35 PM EDT reply actions
JF: No worries… the comments action doesn’t bother me. I haven’t seen but snippets of the Bolts game as the Caps & Canes are in OT.
by Gary on Apr 3, 2006 9:39 PM EDT reply actions
Go Caps! You’ve had me rooting for them this season (qwithout knowing it) while my best friend tries to put them down anywhere he can.
by John F. on Apr 3, 2006 9:40 PM EDT reply actions
Well… they were in OT. Damned Hurricanes. Bolts better hold on to this lead… they don’t get many against the Panthers.
Panturds? Ha!
by Gary on Apr 3, 2006 9:41 PM EDT reply actions
You gotta’ root for the Caps. As a Bolts faithful, you’re familiar with their situation. Screw the fact they’re both in the Southeast, at least for the time being. I don’t see them battling each other for a playoff spot (or in the playoffs against each other) for a long time coming.
As to your best friend… why the slaggin’? They’ve got heart and some rough talent even if you ignore the existence of Ovechkin; just gotta’ put it together Bolts-style.

Marty scored — but it hit the post and bounced out (you could see it on reviews).

Tey pulled Luongo early — Vinny passed up his chance for the hat trick. Good show.

Open-netter.
Is it wrong to consider any open-net goal “not real”?
by Gary on Apr 3, 2006 10:03 PM EDT reply actions
Holy shit… Danny Boy gets almost 26 minutes tonight? Modin with 22? And Burke in net.
C’mon, Pavel… quit being such a puss. :)

Boyle playing shocked me (as you can see in the comments above). Mo’, not so much…
by John F. on Apr 3, 2006 10:20 PM EDT reply actions
Great game tonight! The crowd was hyped. Marty should have gotten a penalty shot on that one where he hit the post. Burke saved by the clock, that Sim guy is highly underrated. PK was weak. Boyle was not himself and it looked like he got hurt at the end when he got beat but maybe just an acting job? Pla… Play… playo… can’t say it.
