Bolts having trouble with intended pass receivers tonite. Should be up by far more than 1 after 2 periods! On the other hand, the Frozen Four game is pretty exciting.

The Lightning needs to working pass-faking. They always commit to making a pass and it leads to the pass being broken up…

Had the chance to clear it and kill the clock and end the game and again — pass attempt, intercepted and a last second drive on the net.
They have GOT to get the killer instinct back.

Back on—My kid was watching a movie on the computer. . Did Rick just say that the Thrash beat the Canes? Oh no! There were some frustrating moments tonite when the forward with the puck should have shot but passed it off and lost possession. Brad thought Modo was still there for a shorthanded goal attempt and sent it out from behind the net to . . . a Pen. Then Prospal had a nice breakaway and passed it off up close—and lost possession. It all goes back to puck possession, I think, and shooting yourself if you have it on the rush close to the net

Just checked nhl.com and the Thrashers spanked the Canes 5-2. Let’s hope the Bolts regain that “killer instinct” indeed for Tuesday nite’s game.

Back from the game. Lottsa bad passes — on both sides. Not a pretty game, although the single goal by Vinnie et al was nicely done. Burke was…I wanna say outstanding, but he just made all the stops he should have. Which is the point, I guess.
So-so crowd. It’ll be claimed as a sell-out, I’m sure. Noisy at times, otherwise much time spent of cell phones and Blackberrys in my section. I hate that.
