Locked up

Star crowing, Gary... The Caps have come to the rescue of the Lightning by defeating the Atlanta Thrashers tonight.

That means we've locked up a playoff spot. I don't think it's possible to get better than the 8th seed -- but correct me if I am wrong on that one.

If you guys beat Washington and if the Devils beat the Habs you get the #7 seed. Good luck.

That’s a Catch – 22 though….

If we move into the #7 seed and the Canes lose and Sens win, then fine. If we win and the Sens lose or the Canes win, we’re in orse shape as the #7 seed.

No crowing from me, JF. Great game last night… of course we were there for the home closer & couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out.

Caps won, Bolts clinched, beers were consumed.

I won’t be able to watch the game tonight (cross-country flight), but here’s hoping the Bolts can draw Carolina in the first round, regardless of whether Ovechkin gets even more points tonight.
