Put the Modin rumors to bed
I know that Boltsmag regular and TB blogger Tiny commented the other day asking about Freddie Modin rumors that were making rounds.
Though a deal to re-acquire Modin would follow Feaster's MO of keeping the locker room chemistry snazzy, Lyle over at Spectors reported (via the Columbus Dispatch) that Modin's close to re-signing with the BJ's. That being the case, don't expect a sign-and-trade deal like in the NBA if things get done.

That is a shame. Modin would look great alongside Brad Richards at this time of year.

I agree poor Brad has really stood out these past 2 games and I think been dominant but he has NOBODY to finish on his line.
I love EP but so far he is just not a finisher in the NHL and Feds is just so streaky I hope he heats up in the playoffs or we are going no where with only 1 line.

Have you heard any trade rumors regarding the Bolts? We absolutely need to spark the offense in the second line, as a minimum. Defense has looked better the past few games. But I agree – we cannot hit the playoffs with just one line.

DF — I highly recommend keeping up with Lyle Richardson’s web site www.spectorshockey.net for rumors (and make sure you stay away from that BS’er Eklund).
There are two rumors that have been around for a while: Feaster wants to shore up the defense through a trade and one of the players that are up for barter is Ruslan Fedotenko. Russ is a UFA after the season and will command a bigger payday than what Feaster is willing to pay.
The last rumor that I saw (yesterday) had the Islanders and the Flames interested in Feds. The Flames have defense to spare…
I have more thoughts on this but I hope to make a blog post about it.
