You know, I picked up one of those composite sticks while in a pro shop a while back, and it’s no wonder they break all the time. Frankly, I wouldn’t trust them. They seem awfully brittle to me – and definitely not in a good way.

Alrighty. Shots are 13-3, New Jersey – the only Lightning players to have shots are Lecavalier, St. Louis, and Malone. Faceoffs are 50-50 between the teams, and pretty much 50% or 0% for all of the Tampa Bay players. Downie & Malone each have two hits. And the Lightning have five giveaways, while the Devils only have two.

Look, we all respect Jacques Lemaire and Brodeur
…but for the Lightning players, they gotta stop playing like they are facing an immovable object. They’re not even making an effort to be STYMIED by an immovable object.
Stop waiting for the perfect deflect and pefect angle and SHOOT. Not dump-ins from the blue-line type shots, but actual shots in the general direction of the net. Don’t give the Devils the extra time to get the puck away from you — put a shot on goal and then fight for the rebound.
