Here's what's going on in Lightning Country as of right now:

- Same lineup from last night's Carolina game is expected for the home opener tomorrow night against New Jersey
- Veilleux is expected to stay on the top line with Lecavalier and Tanguay
- Downie is now playing on the fourth line with Konopka and Fedoruk
- Foster is not expected to play, but Hale still is
- No word on Ohlund as of yet; he left the game early last night for an undisclosed reason
- Smaby has been sent down to Norfolk on a conditioning stint; he can stay down there for up to two weeks until he has to be reassigned officially
- With the demotion of Smaby, the Lightning now have 22 players on a 23-man roster - unless they recall someone
- Luckily it's the defensemen that are falling like flies since the team is only carrying 12 forwards; or four full lines
