Hello. This is a bit random in the middle of a game, but thought you may want to know there are fans who read Raw Charge and use it to find out how the Lightning are going in their games. (Particualarty in hockey deprived countries on the other side of the world).

Bolts may have managed 4 shots but...
…were outshot 10-1 over the final 13 minutes of the period. WTF?!

2-0 Flyers; they’re also 1-2 on the power play, and shots on goal are 12-5 Philly. Wright has three hits so far, Walker has two blocked shots, faceoffs are good except for Halpern who’s 1-4 (20%), and Hale has three giveaways. The overall defense – particularly for the defensemen – is just sloppy for the Lightning.
And for those of you who were wondering, Lecavalier is truly on the third line. It is not a case of his line is the top line no matter who he’s playing with simply because he’s centering that line. His ice time is half of what it normally is – and half of what St. Louis’ is.

Hmmm… the thing is I didn’t get to see him yet. I only saw Nitty in the net… and he was the only positive thing in the game I watched.
That's been a repeating factor
Frank comes off more stable than Mike. Mike is on edge when he plays… I used to see that in John Grahame when he was with the Bolts. Can be incredible and can go and make horrid mistakes — fans are on edge while not sure which goalie will show up — the cool and confident character or the basket-case.

With their record on the road and the efforts they've shown?
No, not strong… Fitting, sadly.

Okay. Well. They Bolts are catching up on shots – it’s now 16-22 Flyers. Konopka is again leading the way in the faceoff circle winning 4-3 for 57%, but overall team faceoffs is down from usual and is at 45%. Lecavalier is leading the team with three shots on goal, and has caught up a bit of time being on the power play. Both Veileux and Wright have three hits each. Ohlund and Walker both have two blocked shots. And Hale hasn’t had any more giveaways since the first when he had three.

I think they need to stop thinking about winning and start thinking about how to get the “small” victories that will help the team play better next game. Shooting the puck more, winning face offs etc.
There are a few positives if you look for them.:
1: Its not Ottawa 7 – TBL 0
2: Gives the lower lines a chance for more ice time
3: Means its not going to be lost in a shootout (again)
Ummm…I wouldn’t necessarily discount a shootout at this point….

nor am I routing for the Yanks. The Bolts are staying in the same hotel as the Yankees and that means players paths will cross.
