At 5PM from the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, the Fantastic Voyage comes to an end as the Lightning play the Atlanta Thrashers in their preseason finale.
Rick Tocchet said earlier that this lineup in play tonight is "as close as you can get" to the opening night lineup (October 3rd at the same location and against the same opponent as this afternoon)... But I don't read into the bottom line being set in stone and the players left out on offense (Ryan Craig, Adam Hall, Brandon Bochenski and Brett McLean ) as on the outside looking in. Nope, I see this as the 4th lines last chance at cementing their roles.
Final roster cutdown is due on Wednesday...
