Where is Meszi? And, coaching is a joke!

Two years ago the Lightning made the right decision and invested in a young D-man - Andrej Meszaros.  Based on the three seasons where he kicked ass for the Senators, that made total sense.  Since then they have completely failed to develop his talent.  He played almost 300 consecutive games; he even played a game after a puck to the face that resulted in 64 stitches - talk about heart.  A shoulder injury forced him to miss the end of last season.  I turned on SUNHD tonight to find that he is sitting in the stands.  WTF?  Anybody who knows squat about hockey knows that this is the result of crappy coaching.  I attended close to 40 games last year and almost 20 this year.  I have listened to the fans and have heard nothing but derision about the coaching.  The system lacks forechecking, decent passing in the neutral zone, and backchecking of the forwards.  The team gets under pressure constantly in their own zone.  Please!  With the roster this team has, even an average coach should be able to achieve the playoffs.  I don't see this happening this year and am THIS close to finding another team to follow.  Thanks for listening to my rant, and let's see what we can do to rally around a team with great potential and disappointing coaching.

Amen

Tocchet is a supreme joke. He hasn’t the tools (patience and knowledge) to teach the younger players or institute a system. He has proven to be gutless: allowing Ovechkin’s celebration without retribution and not sticking up for his team when the refs make bonehead calls—-and there have been plenty. He lacks the backbone to stand up to the front office who spent one-third of the season showcasing high-priced garbage (no takers) and complying with the management’s demand to demote V4 hoping for a waive of the no-trade clause. He backstabbed Gretzky and is an admitted felon. He has no respect around the league and NOT ONE team would hire him as their HC. He has his job because he is compliant and OK Hockey is severely underfinanced if not nearly broke.
