Mitch Fadden demoted from AHL Norfolk to ECHL

Sort of caught me off guard -- Mitch Fadden was among three players cut by the Norfolk Admirals today.  The press release is below:

Admirals Trim Roster by Three Players

NORFOLK, Va. – Admirals General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today that forward Mitch Fadden has been reassigned to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL while forward Alexandre Imbeault and defenseman Philippe Paquet have been released from their training camp tryout invites.

The Admirals now have 21 players on their training camp roster with twelve forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders. A complete training camp roster is attached to this press release.

Norfolk's regular season opens in Binghamton, New York, as they take on the Senators on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Admirals' regular season home opener will take place on Friday, October 15, as the Worcester Sharks invade Scope.
