Former Bolt and behemoth wing Evgeny Artyukhin has been traded from the Anaheim Ducks to the Atlanta Thrashers.for Nate Oystrick and a conditional draft pick in 2011.

I am not happy with the idea of facing him a bunch of times a season as an opponent.

Even though you can pretty much bank on an extra PP now?

Arty was/is one of those players I have never understood the fascination about. Sure, he’d make the boards rattle, but more often than not he’d be out of position as a result and his tendancy to take the odd silly penalty is hardly unknown.

I should be sound asleep... but it's more fun to watch the Hockey!

And because of some of his more, um, "questionable" hits at times in his career....

The refs watch him closer, just like they do with Downie, even though I’m sure the refs would deny it if you asked. Arty was a fan favorite in Tampa only because of those hits (not the questionable ones, mind you). He never could grasp situational hockey and his hockey IQ was never up to snuff to go along with his speed. The man can skate, there’s never been any denying it, but it’s hard to skate when you’re sitting in the penalty box…

I have come to a conclusion... Martin St Louis = waterbug on meth...
