Tampa Bay Lightning Game 75: at the Buffalo Sabres
The Tampa Bay Lightning lost to the Buffalo Sabres 7-1.
There wasn't much to this. Essentially, on Vincent Lecavalier's third shift of the game, he was assessed a highly questionable penalty - a major for spearing, which comes with an automatic game misconduct and ejection. The team completely collapsed into a heap right after that. During the ensuing five-minute major, Buffalo scored two goals on two shots. Antero Niittymaki was pulled (for having let in a total of three goals on six shots) about halfway through the first period, and that was it. Game over.
The next game is Tuesday, 30 March, at the Columbus Blue Jackets. Game time is 7 pm Eastern.

Tampa was awful
I’m a Sabre fan, but I have to say Tampa’s effort Saturday night was the sorriest I’ve seen by any team all year. The game wasn’t even as close as the score indicated. All they did was skate in circles in the middle of the ice, no one made an effort to hit or impede any Sablre. They ought to have their paychecks docked.
Stop, Kat. People won’t know you’re kidding.
There's nothing quite like the sound of a frozen puck hitting the glass. It makes me happy.

Alas, it seems laughter is all we have left for this season.
