Rick Tocchet interviewed on Leafs Lunch

Given there's two sides to every story, Tocchet played his half of "he said, she said" with Darren Dreger on 640 Toronto yesterday.

Outcome not terribly surprising, but fair play to Tocchet, he acted as professionally as he could have, given the situation.

I’ve actually been looking for coverage of this beyond conversation that is ongoing at Bolt Prospects. It’s been picked up in the Canadian press but eh locals in Tampa have swept it under the rug.

Not surprising....

to throw Vinny under the bus….He’s misused Vinny all year long. I give him points for the development of Downs, but he just misused Vinny (and Bugsy-and others) for the entire year. Hope it wasn’t a “blame somebody else for my firing” kind of thing. I admit I haven’t listened to the interview myself though. I do think Tocchet did the best he could (for the most part) given the personnel he had. I wish him well.
