Raw Charge Tuesday night Open thread and Link Dump
Starting what I hope will become a new feature here at Raw Charge for the off-season... We've done link dumps before, and we've tried to do open threads among Raw Charge regulars before. So, how about mashing the two together? Get your fix of different story links form around the blogosphere / Boltosphere AND chat with other RC regulars?
Win-win.
We'll recap some of the links we've posted from the past week in FanShots as well ans promote some new ones. Below the fold you can find more from around the league and elsewhere.

Here’s an opening question for you: what have you thought of the Stanley Cup Final so far?
There's nothing quite like the sound of a frozen puck hitting the glass. It makes me happy.

Bipolar or not, Chicago seems to win either way.

True. Younger, hungrier…
Yiou think they will look for a new (another) Netminder this offseason?

I was expecting that the Hossa Hex would kick in. I guess there’s still time for that, tho.

Well, I'm here for a little while before I have to bug out. How is everyone?

I just spent an hour studying for the GRE. I am so lame.

And how many people have the gall to even take the GRE? Lame? No…
"Seen Cincuenta" -- 04.10.10 -- Raw Charge.
I took it without studying – ended up getting the same score I did on my SAT back in high school, weirdly.

That is odd. I realized that all of the people who did well on the SAT’s studied. So I decided to attempt, this time, to be one of them. Anyway, enough of that.

I never studied for my SATs, either. :oD

haha yeah…I’m still catching up on the reading here….
I’m so surprised that no lightning names made the 2010 Hockey Hall of Fame :P

No, not really. But then, it was sort of last minute, too. Once people realize that it’s a regular occurrence, it ought to pick up a bit. I hope so, anyways.

yeah definitely, once it’s regular…
seriously though the sports so much less interesting without your team to follow.

Tell me about it. I can barely make myself watch the Stanley Cup Final. I love hockey, but could care less who wins the Cup.

Same here! I feel (sort of) guilty but I’ve watched so little of it. I think that makes me less of a fan!
by Meredith Qualls on Jun 1, 2010 8:02 PM EDT up reply actions
Normally I wouldn’t bother watching, but since my friend Su and I started up our own radio show, I’ve sort of had to keep up on what was going on.

You missed out on a lot of our Swedish hockey player discussions – Tina, Sha-Sha, Alix, and I. It drove John nuts. He wanted to keep the thread on track, on the game. But we’d go off on these tangents. He finally just got over it and joined in. Tho never with the Swedish hockey player talk. :oD

It’s going alright. Not a big crowd right now listening, but we’re just starting out. We’re going to interview some minor league hockey players some time this summer. Su’s already approached a few of them, and they’ve agreed. So that ought to be fun. You should stop in and listen. There’s a chat room going when the broadcast is live, and we’ll pick up topics from that to discuss sometimes.

So how do you think Yzerman will do in terms of turning the team around next season? Good? Bad? Indifferent?

oh, it’s good news. i mean, at this point, it’s got to be true that anyone is better than prior management.
as far as superstar-yzer turning the team into superstars, i think it’ll depend on a lot of other things.

yepp! what have you heard in terms of options?
by Meredith Qualls on Jun 1, 2010 8:16 PM EDT up reply actions
The only name I’ve heard so far is Dineen. I’m really hoping that Yzerman sort of strikes out on his own and away from the Red Wings. But that’s probably too much to hope for right now.
