REPORT: Lightning to introduce Guy Boucher at Thursday press conference

A report surfaced around 5 PM on the Twitter account for Tampa Bay based Bright House Sports Net (BHSN) that Guy Boucher, former head coach of the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs, would be announced as head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning at a press conference Thursday morning at the St. Pete Times Forum.

Mike Corcoran, Lightning beat reporter at Creative Loafing, confirmed the rumor through sources in attendance at the Lightning's watch party at the XO VIP Club on Thursday night.

The report says the press conference introducing Boucher is scheduled for 11 AM.  BHSN will televising the press event, and it likely will be available for viewng online at TampaBayLightning.com.

[Note by John Fontana, 06/09/10 8:48 PM EDT ] As of 8:37 PM, a press advisory had been sent out by the Lightning to inform of a "major announcement" by the club at 11 AM tomorrow.
