Tampa Bay Lightning fan confidence: Is it really this high?

We've been having you vote weekly the past couple of weeks in Tampa Bay Lightning fan confidence polls.  It's tied directly to SB Nation Tampa Bay and results (just the number) can be found over on that site.

Since this poll started (around the launch of SB Nation Tampa Bay on June 25th) the Lightning have earned scores of 53%, 59%,  and 77% over a three week span.  77% confidence in the team is the latest ranking.

77% confidence is sorta high...  But it is the off-season.  Either there are few votes and someone is gaming the system, or fans really do see the promise of the future in what has been accomplished since the close of the 2009-10 NHL season.

You can always vote in fan confidence polls as they appear underneath the Raw Charge logo graphic from Monday to Wednesday of each week.  We highlight the poll on Tuesday night open threads, but you have the opportunity to vote at any time.

All that being said, what's your take on the Lightning off-season?   Put it into words, if not votes, in comments.

I think it is, new owner, new GM, new coach, bringing back kubina, drafting connolly, signing another vet D in clark. Stevie is making all the right moves and if he can rope in gagne this offseason would be one of the best the lightning have ever had. now if only we could get rid of swiss cheese smith and sign another goalie like turco for cheap

I’ve voted a consistent 70, based upon ownership, front office, and roster moves. The rating scale is a bit vague—but I think that’s the point. Vote your gut, and see what pans out.

Personally, I voted a 70 because I saw this as slightly less than halfway between “ho-hum” (50, in my opinion) to “start torching the cars and planning the parade route, because Stanley’s coming back next year!” (100).

As always, your mileage may vary.
