Off Topic: Give credit where it's due, MSM
I'm citing Travis Hughes article at Broad Street hockey which gives a general overview of a media flub-up today: The Toronto Sun "borrowed" a translated Czech report about Tomas Kaberle's father and remarks he made to the Czech press.
The translation was originally printed on Pension Plan Puppets with hard work done by community members. At no point in time was their credit for the translation given to PPP, or was PPP cited for being a reference point.
This has escalated throughout the day -- with the Toronto Sun now claiming Pension Plan Puppets plagiarized others work to establish the original translation.
Suffice it to say, the PPP crew and they loyal readers are not planning on backing down on this.

Oh my
Holy Cow! Hey Raw Charge i’m a new member, but longtime reader. This story inspired me to start commenting. I am pretty unimpressed with the Sun’s ability to break a story. I hope they figure it out. And PPP, great blog! These hockey blogs are quality and they are my primary source for hockey news. Get em guys!
Welcome Boltsfan
And thanks!

Ridiculous
The MSM just doesn’t want to admit the blogosphere sometimes provides better news due to it’s far-reaching knowledge base.
The Toronto Sun is going to eat some big-time crow at the conclusion of this.
Agreed, the blogosphere has maaaaannny more resources to dip into for information and is just as credible.
Yeah, but “Blog” is still treated as a stigmata in the mainstream. “Blogs” and “bloggers” are vilified as anonymous people who live in their mother’s basements.
While the level of connection is there, and some of us have the reputation that goes beyond the stereotype… Well, the general media doesn’t treat “bloggers”/“blog”/“blogs” like positive terms.

Just be glad you’re not a Philadelphia-based blogger. Not sure how many bloggers can afford the $300 they want for a license.
That one is just utterly ridiculous.
