Goalie Dan Ellis discovers lack of sympathy for whiney millionaires
Puck Daddy outlines what happened on Twitter last night with new Tampa Bay goaltender Dan Ellis. It's not that he's a bad guy, really. He just seems to lack some persepective.

Over-sensitive people. That’s all I’ve got to say to this.
I love the Lightning AND the Flyers... go ahead, preach me!
Dare to follow my childish, biased, petty and cheesy alter ego.
American Cheese, B!tch! ... #1 mission? Kill Holmgren.
Is it oversensitivethat he’s pulled a Millionaires act twice and come off disconnected / above the general masses?
He’s lucky more Lightning fans aren’t paying attention right now — he is alienating himself from those who are paying attention, however.

Sorry, but I’m not one of the majority who looked at his tweets this way. (shrugs) All I saw was people overreacting.

Problem is Ellis’ remark was not an isolated incident. The reaction has been like what happened with Dime-Pair Patrick… But Ellis was tweeting (boasting, really) all summer about his new Jag (as Dustin pointed out), tricked out rims, a new pool he was getting, houses on the waterfront he was planning on buying in Tampa… And now he’s complaining about money issues?

I Got Danny's Back
Everyone’s allowed to have a misconstrued and out of context rant every now and then. Nobody escapes media scrutiny forever.
Nevermind the thought that he’s human and says things he sometimes doesn’t mean because he’s in a emotionally elevated state.
You know what? I’ll say it for him.
Hey media/fans/whiney Twitter lurkers: Eat it. I said some mean shtuff, what of it? I was pissed and needed to vent. I’m not a bad person just because I say something mean. Stop reading so much into it. Get over it.
