Tampa Bay's "Major Business Announcement" set for 2PM Monday
Things may be happening sooner, rather than later, regarding the rumored Lightning logo and jersey changes for next season.
A media advisory was sent out by the team around 8:50 this evening, indicating to media that:
The Tampa Bay Lightning will make a major announcement concerning the organization’s complete brand and business transformation
And the location of the event isn't on the concourses of the St. Pete Times forum, but on the ice. While CEO Tod Leiweke, owner Jeffrey Vinik and GM Steve Yzerman will be in attendance, Martin St. Louis, Vincent Lecavalier, Steven Stamkos, Dave Andreychuk and Phil Esposito were also advertised as part of the presentation.
Things will likely go beyond brand and logo talk and further stress changes in the organization. But I realize the hot subject is the jersey talk... And this seemed like it could very well feature something regarding it.
We'll find out more tomorrow at 2PM.

If it will be televised, I would guess Brighthouse Sports Network.

…And now it’s been canceled indefinitely – and for a very good reason, too.

say it ain't so
They better have black and silver third jerseys then. I dont like the look of a single color, I hope the new ones have a little silver in them at least. Also they need to keep the bolt design on the pant’s. Retro is cool but so is originality.
