Alex Hutchings will get more time with the Florida Everblades this season, as he was assigned tot he club this afternoon, along with goaltender Pat Nagle and forward Philip-Michael Devos.
Hutchings had made his professional debut last season with the Everblades, posting 13 goals and 13 assists in 51 games last season. He was slowed by an injury during mid-season but came back to contribute for the Everblades in the latter half of the season.
I twas no surprise that Pat Nagle found himself re-assigned. Nagle, playing his first full pro season in goal, is behind Dustin Tokarski and Jaroslav Janus on the organization depth chart. He would not see playing minutes remaining with the Ads. This can be said as well for Hutchings and Devos.
The release, in part, is below the jump.
Three Reassigned to ECHL Florida
NORFOLK, Va. – The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL affiliate of the Norfolk Admirals, have reassigned forward Alex Hutchings and goaltender Pat Nagle to the ECHL's Florida Everblades. In addition, the Admirals have assigned forward Philip-Michael Devos to the Everblades. These moves were announced today by Admirals General Manager Julien BriseBois.
The puck drops for the 2011-12 Admirals season on Friday as the Admirals host the Charlotte Checkers at Norfolk Scope Arena. A complete 2011-12 season schedule is available at norfolkadmirals.com.
