5 years, 4 mil per year. I call this a win.

Me, too. He’s gonna get a lot better over the next year and that could become one of the best deals in the NHL.

Let's sure hope so

Seems like a decent deal, considering what his draftmates are making. On the other hand, Heds hasn’t produced nearly as much as them either. Needs to get much more consistent and gain some damn confidence with the puck. The biggest issue, he needs to use his size.. much to much of a gentle giant out there. He’s got talent, no doubt… just afraid to use it. In the NHL anyways.

Let's GO..Wings, Tigers, Lions, Wolverines (oh my!) & Bolts!!!! (RIP Cory Smoot aka Flattus Maximus of GWAR)

he's been the best we've had this year, or a close 2nd

and he’s getting paid less than Brewer. And will still be getting paid less in five years when he’s hopefully improved.

There’s no question that he makes mistakes, but he’s young and is getting better. He shows flashes of brilliance even now.

I do agree that he cold be more physical and that’s one of the things I have hopes of him developing over this season and next.

I told Mrs. MTBoltFan last night (before word of the total contract value was published) that anything less than $5 million per year would be a bargain.

Definitely so in this case. 5 years of $4M cap hit? Put me down for a double helping!

Easy to fit this under the cap: don’t resign the immovable Kubina, giving the resulting cap space to Heddy’s contract.

yeah, it seems like $5M or slightly more was expected

so this seems like an unambiguous win. He’s probably not a $4M player right now, but he will be within the next two years. And it’s sure better than giving all that money to Kubina

I told peoople in September

The going rate was 5-5.5 Mil per year after the Tavares and Myers signings.

This is a steal when compared to those two’s deals.

Typing is an adventure, and reading should be, too!
