Wayne Fleming
This is really not the type of story I want to run, leading into the 2011 playoffs, but upsetting news was released by the team this morning, announcing assistant coach Wayne Fleming has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. He has already started treatment at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, and is resting at home.
You've probably noticed Wayne's been missing behind the bench. I personally figured he was in the press box, viewing the game from above as assistant coaches in the past have done for the Lightning. It's disappointing to find out the reasons for his absence are much more serious.
His availability to the Lightning during the playoffs will be dependent on his comfort level during treatment.
On behalf of myself and the staff at Raw Charge, we wish Wayne nothing but the best and the speediest of recoveries.

Get well soon, Wayne.
You’re as important to this team as anyone.
Have you ever seen black lightning?

sad news
but from sad/difficult situations we often see deep wells of strength. Best wishes to Wayne and his family.

From an Opposing Fan...
Get well soon Wayne. I want to see the Caps beat your team, but more than that I want to see you beat this tumor! Best wishes.
