How about “History earns his paycheck.”

Could not watch either game 1 or 2…Friday was the wedding rehearsal dinner, but my nephew was able to get me score a couple times (end of the 2nd, and end of the game).

Sunday I was in the Badlands, and the former Geologist in me was stunned…and I felt “well, the worst that can happen is a tied series”. Once we left the park for the hour drive back to Rapid City I was kind of “aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”.

Once I saw the score I was better, but…I could not get any coverage. And the USA Today on Monday HAD NOTHING about the game, other than the score. At least I learned from that rag that we had games tonight and tomorrow.

Flight home was dicey – my mom and I were riding non-rev, thus on Standby, and the only Rapid City/Dallas flight was booked and late. But we got on, and eventually into Tampa. I eventually got home 2:15 AM, and have been working from home since 7 AM.

He’s been tremendous as the radio voice even the past three years where this team sucked. Finally, he’s back to calling big playoff game victories for the Lightning. Took about seven years to happen again (2006 and 2007, as we all know, didn’t amount to much of anything), but it’s better late than never.

Who noticed the Caps fan giving Vinny and Co. the finger?? Haven’t seen anything about it, so far. Surprised it also seems to have made it into the final cut of the commercial. If you haven’t noticed… it’s right fater Vinny scores in OT and is heading towards the glass.. a guy in about the 3rd row gets up right away and throws the ol’ bird our way.

However, does this hurt the commercial or just make it that much sweeter? haha …Awesome either way.
