That’s subjective.
Blair Jones was thrilling Guy Boucher back in training camp and almost made the team. He’s likely going to be on the roster (depending on off-season moves).

How are you Mr.John?
It's all hot bishes, naps, and dance parties
Yeah, basically after how they handled Horton/Burrows/Rome, I swore off the series becasue of how messed up their consistency with enforcing rules are. Horton should have ben out of the ECF game 7 — but was alloweed to score the GWG instead. Burrows? Should have been out for Game 2, same thing happens. And then Rome gets the book thrown at him becasue Horton fell down funny.

It also bugs me that McKenzie is defending non-suspensions because the games mean more. That’s why the RULES should mean more and guys should pay the price for breaking the rules.

Does anyone else realize how poor the Canucks GD is this postseason?
Look at these numbers:
vs. Chicago: -6
vs. Nashville: + 3
vs. San Jose: + 7
vs. Boston: -11
That’s a -7 goal differential this postseason! For reference, the worst GD for a Cup winner is tied between the ‘06 Canes and ’07 Ducks at +13 (courtesy a commenter at Japers’ Rink).
That is brutal to think a team in the red may very well win the Cup. Damn.

I could see that maybe with the Blackhawks, though being complacent against a team that has been a total nightmare the previous two postseasons is very dangerous.
But if they were complacent last night with a chance to win the Cup, then I dunno what to say about those guys. That is unfathomable.

But all three games in Boston?
Yikes. I think a general consensus of objective hockey fans would reveal that most believe the Canucks are a better team than the Lightning are, but in the Conference Finals, in a building that has always been a nightmare for this franchise, the Lightning represented themselves very well there.
The Canucks have looked spineless, by comparison.
I felt like it was going to linger with me for a while that I thought the Lightning could’ve beaten the Canucks for the Cup, and this series has only strengthened my belief.

game six is the real shocker. game three could be complacency, and game four could be negative momentum (we have seen two blowout losses in a row before; the ‘Nucks don’t seem to bounce back quickly). But game six. . . the Bolts definitely acquitted themselves much better in Boston.

What would you say the problem is, if it’s not complacency. Is it the defense, like Bourne, suggested?
Goaleez R weerd.
I think it might be that the Bruins were really energized from their home crowd. Boston is a much more physical team than Vancouver is, and I think Vancouver’s tried to answer the physicality as a result, which has taken them out of their game and, as a result, played right into Boston’s hand.
We’ve seen it with the Lightning as well. I don’t remember when this was posted, but the Lightning have suffered in their overall play every time they try to make the game overly physical as a result of the opposition. The Canucks should try to stay within their element, and at the Garden, they have really done anything but that.
There is also the more to-the-point thing about the Bruins being a better team. Better goaltender, better defense, and there is more balanced scoring throughout. They obviously have no answer for the Sedin’s or Kesler, but there are plenty of players on that team capable of slipping one through Luongo at a given moment. Luongo’s shakiness at the Garden has also contributed to this.

I would find this easier to take and what not, but the Canucks have had, what, one game that they won by 3+ goals, while having five games they’ve lost by 3+ goals.
That might as well have been the Moose playing at the Garden in this series. Completely uncompetitive, and only by eeking out the home games will the Canucks have a chance to win this series.
And believe me, I hope like hell they do.

playing Tim Thomas who we can’t seem to crack very much and the brick wall triangle of doom that was Pekke Rinne, Shea Weber, and Ryan Suter. Shudder. But yeah it’s not that pretty.
It's all hot bishes, naps, and dance parties
By law, I am required to agree with you
But I was 9an still am) most impressed with Kesler. Still fighting even though he’s hurt, isn’t he, and not taking dumb O’Brian-esque penalties.
Goaleez R weerd.
Yeah, you can tell he’s basically skating on one leg at this point but he’s still trying his ass off. Love that guy. Shame he hasn’t been able to score on Thomas or the Conn Smythe would probably be his.
It's all hot bishes, naps, and dance parties
Agreed
Though, I must let you know that, as a goalie freak, I REALLY like Thomas. (Truth in advertising and all). I really want him to win the Conn Smythe, if he can’t win the Cup.
Goaleez R weerd.
This.
"[The Lightning] are uncanny. When they want to get a goal, it's like they just snap their fingers or hit a button. They just dial it up. You can see it. It's like they flip a switch. When they are down, it's just like they think, 'we know we are going to score.' I don't know what it is, it leaves [the opposition] flabbergasted." - Mike Knuble, 3 May 2011
He’s driving me into a murderous rage right now so that probably speaks to how much he deserves it. Didn’t think he looked that great against Tampa but definitely deserves it here.
Also helps that the Canucks haven’t really had ONE guy that has been the MVP. They’ve played a solid team game for the most part.
It's all hot bishes, naps, and dance parties
Ahhh, sorry about the rage thing
The positive side to not having any of “my guys” in the mix right now is that I don’t have to cope with that. We can talk about something else, if you need a break.
And you’re right, the Bolts did light him up a couple of times. It’s doable, if you can confound his defense. He relies on them enormously (has to, the way he plays) and sometimes trusts them without checking beforehand. (see Burrows, game2).
Goaleez R weerd.
Nah!
No worries. Just a comment on how good he’s been. The Canucks started to get Thomas moving in the second and third. Hank did score a gorgeous backhand on him. Hopefully that will continue tomorrow night.

not interested in journalism anymore. Creative writing! We’ll see how that goes. Had a job this year in marketing/research that was fun and interesting. I’d love to write kids books. But need to figure out a 9-5 job probably as well.
It's all hot bishes, naps, and dance parties
Marketing is the best writing thing to do, I think. And it helps – hugely – if you have some mapping experience. That way, you can play with demographics stuff and know where your market is.

It fades too. I have the Stamkosis-91 shirt. It doesn’t hold up, the colors.
I specifically used the new blue on the shirt, your shirt, the Roloson shirt. So for it to come off lighter… Ugh.

The only suspensions I’ve seen and/or remembered about interacting with the fans involved physical interaction, rather than just water.
As much as I despise the Bruins and thugs in general, part of me believes the fan deserved part of it.

If I can be salty for a minute...
that series re-affirmed my hate for that motherfucker.
Nathan Horton has been crushing this team ever since he was drafted by Florida. They finally trade him out of the division, making his appearances against this team less frequent, and as fate would have it, he faces this team again in the playoffs and has the series of his life, ultimately scoring the only goal in the deciding game.
No one liked seeing him get laid out last week. All of us wish he never would’ve been in that position in the first place.
Cripes.

Absolutely.
Perhaps Luongo is just more comfortable at home, to a fault, but something tells me more and more by the day that the Lightning would’ve won this series if the Canucks had wound up playing the same way as they have against the B’s.
The Lightning were lighting up TT in four of the games against Boston. Anomalous, yes. But also a sign that the Lightning could absolutely defeat better goaltending.

Except you have no choice but to buy their overpriced stuff that wears out in about a year. Which is okay, since they come out with shiny new stuff on a yearly basis. So it’s a very nice business model that they’ve got. For them. Not so great for the consumer, however.

I did support at a company that had Macs and Windows systems, And the Macs really wernt that special, not when compared to a Windows system of the same price… (other than the Macs striking a coolness factor with out clients)
their advantage so far has been support and propensity to avoid viruses at streaming sites
there’s been much more random weirdness though. also, it had an advantage over HP in that HP is awful. my motherboard fried after 18 months, and Best Buy said “well, HP’s motherboards do tend to fry after 18 months”

Windows Based laptops are pretty much the same across all companies, there arnt very many different companies that make the various components for laptops… so often HP, Dell, Etc will have very similar systems ‘under the hood’ price level to price level
well, the Dell lasted a lot longer

Mine’s an HP, and I’ve had it for almost six years. The only major problem I had with it was Norton Security corrupting my hard drive, which had to be replace. HP’s customer service was awesome, in my experience. The problems that I have now are mostly due to the fact that it’s simply out-of-date.

or October
October should be low to mid-50s with a slight breeze and leaves changing. Because it’s October, and it’s awesome

Mid-day in early fall with the smell of salt water coming in from the Sound, the sight of the Mountain just over the hill, and the alder trees turning yellow scattered among the hillsides of the evergreens. With just a slight nip in the air. And being on a ferry couldn’t hurt, either. :o)

As long as the ferry stops before the dock, then I absolutely agree. :-)
"[The Lightning] are uncanny. When they want to get a goal, it's like they just snap their fingers or hit a button. They just dial it up. You can see it. It's like they flip a switch. When they are down, it's just like they think, 'we know we are going to score.' I don't know what it is, it leaves [the opposition] flabbergasted." - Mike Knuble, 3 May 2011
They do. Mostly. There hasn’t been a serious ferry accident in like months. Or something. ;o)

All along the gulf it’s bad. Well, at least on the western coast of it—since we can’t go on the eastern coast…

you could've had my eternal (by which I mean temporary) affection
had you just beaten Panama. But no, you have to give up a stoppage time equalizer. I take it all the people agreeing with my have different motivations, but we all came to one conclusion

but probably won’t be every week. I really, really enjoy this site as a whole, though.
Much better than other SBN pages (especially hockey-related).

yes, that'd be a yay
USA needs a win or draw to advance. Jozy Altidore is American. I have no idea how “golazo” translates, but I think it means something like “freaking spectacular goal.”
