Get Organized: RawCharge.com @ LitterBoxCats.com Saturday Oct. 15th Florida Home Opener in Sunrise, FL
I just ordered 4 tickets in the suite, who else is going? Let's get organized after the jump!
First, nothing here is set in stone, other than going to the game. Hopefully a conversation opens up in the comments and we can get organized and maybe meetup at a hotel in Sunrise/Ft. Lauderdale before heading to the game.
Second, a link to the post where you can get ordering info:
I've ordered 4 tickets for myself, a girl friend, my pops, and my uncle. All of us are die hard Bolts fans and we're looking forward to checking out South Florida. So far our plan is to leave Saturday morning, get checked in at a hotel (not sure which one yet), go to the game, and then see what kind of nightlife we can find. If anyone else is going and you want to get a group organized, and possibly a group rate for the hotel rooms, please post in the comments below. This should be a fun time and scenic trip through south central Florida (considering an airboat tour for Sunday morning before heading back to Tampa). Let's show the Panther faithful (I call'em Fanthers) some Tampa class!
This is also a great way, I think, to start the season... Just like the Lightning we'll be starting the season ON THE ROAD! And who knows, maybe a new tradition is starting where the first game between the two in state teams is a road trip for the away team fans!?
Rivalry traditions need to start somewhere, why not with us? Let's not continue to wait for Tampa hockey sports culture to be defined by the impartial "I root for the Lightning except when their playing [insert name of any major northern city east of St. Louis]" people when we the real fans have a chance to define it ourselves! Bring your Tampa pride to Sunrise!
I look forward to the comments.
TankerKevo out...
but still tuned in...

I probably won’t get a ticket until next month, tho, more likely September-ish. I’m not sure I’ll be able to go just yet. But I really, really want to! Not sure if I’d be flying into Tampa to drag John along on a road trip, or fly into Ft. Lauderdale from Virginia just yet. But I’ll let you all know if/when it happens!
Love the enthusiasm, but we still have three months to go, you know. And maybe we can plan some kind group meetup for Orlando. When we get closer to it, that is. ;o)
Win or lose, I'm proud of these guys.

Sounds Good!
And yes, plenty of time before the game, but the spots in the suite itself may fill up. If the price of the ticket is too steep you can also purchase tickets out side of the suite at a lower price and still meetup before and after the game so everyone would still have a good time, although I have a feeling there will be a lot of conversation and fandom happening in the suite.

I’ve been told that if that particular suite is sold out, then they’ll add another suite if demand warrants it – so no worries there!

Awesome, I missed that.
This is going to be fun. Can you tell I really miss hockey and it’s not even August yet?

A little clarification on extra suites
Cassie is correct that if we sell out we have the option of opening another suite, but if we only sell out by 10 or so we can’t justify opening a second suite. We are well on our way to selling out though as we are half way there in about a week and still have almost 3 months until opening night.
I hope to see as many lightning faithful as possible so we can kick off the in-state rivalry the right way this season.
That’s awesome news that so many people have committed to that already! Do you have a breakdown of Panthers vs Lightning fans? Just curious is all.

We are still low on the lightning side and I know tankerkevo is going to want a few friendly faces when he’s surrounded by Panthres fans. Ideally I would want to see 10 or so lightning fans just so we can have some real fun in there.
The more the merrier obviously and who knows, if we end up with 25 lightning fans and 50 panthers fans maybe we could give each fanbase their own suite.
Wishful thinking maybe, but who knows.
It'll be fun...
watching the game with Panther fans. I don’t keep up with a lot of the hockey culture (ownership, direction, fan favorites, up and coming farm talent) down there so it’ll be fun talking to the Miami fans and learning about the team a bit.

You should hit up our game threads versus the Panthers. If it’s home, we’ll start here on RC for the first period, switch over to Litter Box Cats for the second, and come back here for the third. If the game’s at Sunrise, then we’ll start over at LBC for the first, come here for the second, then finish the game on LBC. Everyone from both sites plays along and migrates accordingly. We don’t do it all the time, but we do do it every so often. It’s a lot of fun, really.

So, in theory – since I’m not sure I’m going yet – how would people feel about organizing a caravan from Tampa to Sunrise?
