Well, crap.
He was my favorite player from last year, too.
Oh, well. I still like how the team is shaping up this year.
Good luck to you in your home city, Luns!
"[The Lightning] are uncanny. When they want to get a goal, it's like they just snap their fingers or hit a button. They just dial it up. You can see it. It's like they flip a switch. When they are down, it's just like they think, 'we know we are going to score.' I don't know what it is, it leaves [the opposition] flabbergasted." - Mike Knuble, 3 May 2011
did decent during the season but he took a beating everynight. i swear he got hit more than anyone
but had a horrible playoffs
Not any more horrible than any other d-man
Like Brewer, for instance, who was out of position on Horton’s series clinching goal in the ECF.

Or Victor Hedman, who I have already brought up with Tom on his arguments, who was a turnover machine.
Typing is an adventure, and reading should be, too!

Hedman was awful with his passes in the neutral zone – had been all season, too.
Win or lose, I'm proud of these guys.

I really didn’t want to remember that.
SERIOUSLY GUYS, STOP TRYING TO TRADE PEKKA!!!
Part Predator, part Lightning.
Sorry
It had to be said.

I don't think he did terrible in the playoffs
I thought he was one of our most reliable dman in the playoffs. He obviously didn’t play as much so I’m sure that helped him.
I was dissapointed to see he won’t be coming back. I thought he was a solid bottom 2 defenseman
“Botton 2”? Lundin was one of the Lightning’s top two guys on the ice – he was a shutdown specialist. He kept guys like Crosby & Ovechkin from scoring.
Win or lose, I'm proud of these guys.

He played only 15 minutes a game in the postseason
That doesn’t sound like top 2.
I agree. Especially for a million. I think we should have brought him back.
Perhaps Boucher himself could convince you
He put Luns out against the top lines all year. That is an indisputable fact. He also has told the press (there’s video of it on the Lightning web site) his high regard for Lundin’s play.

I'm not sure why we wouldn't bring him back for $1M a year
1 year deal so no risk. If he is a shutdown defenseman then not paying him makes no sense
Very true..
However, at least for this past season, concussions kept Crosby from scoring and well Ovie… kept Ovie from scoring.
Details, Details.. haha
So... if that was just the beginning? Can't friggin' wait to see what's next!! A HUGE Thank You to Mr. Vinik, Steve Yzerman, Guy Boucher & the whole damn Lightning team/organization!! 100% Continued support and respect.
