Not sure but
I think this is also compatible with the iPod Touch

Raw Charge.
Should be.
Heard any plans for an iPad-optimized version?

Actually, I have no problem with Apple itself. My problem is the closed environment it’s created. I despise a digital world with only certain controlled options. Stupid proprietary model…and I don’t like Blackberry’s either.

One response, then I'll go silent
Sure Apple controls a lot of the software/hardware interactions—significantly so in respect to the iPod/iPhone/iPad. The reason they excersize such control is to successfully avoid the sort of problems that befell your laptop yesterday.
At the end of the day, the user experience is much better on Apple products than not—and a growing section of the population tends to agree.

What happened with my netbook yesterday was purely user error and not a result of any software issues. :o)

They may, but I wouldn’t hold my breath on it. They want to iron out the bugs, bring in the comment refresh, and make this app available on Android.
I’d say a iPad optimized version (or a tablet optimized version) wouldn’t be out until the 2nd quarter of next year. That’s a complete guess on my part.

Quick user review: it is really self-evident how to use this (I’m using the app to post this comment, as a matter if fact). It’s well-thought out, and looks to have a bright future in my app library.

One other thing:
I forgot to mention the comments section is loaded separate from each post. That said, comments made do seem to post more quickly than using the mobile-optimized website on my phone.
One downside though: Even though I made my two comments above (at 9:05pm and 9:07pm) using the app, when I log in to the “regular” website, Cassie’s comment (to which I replied from the app) appeared on my browser as “new”—so the SBN app doesn’t keep track of what articles are new.
A minor nit to pick, to be sure. I really do like the app. Well-designed.
