Full All-Star Weekend Coverage on SB Nation |

With fans wishing to congregate among friends during All-Star weekend events, I figured it was time tos top taking the lazy route and bring Raw Charge into the fold of 2012 NHL All-Star coverage.
Everyone - from every team - is welcome. Our standard probation period for new members has been removed for tonight's open thread -- so if you are not already a member at Raw Charge, or were annoyed with the fact you had to wait to become an active member - you are free to join us with no wait at all tonight.
The beauty of the Super Skills competition is you get to witness the raw abilities of the league's best. If the 2012 Super Skills competition is anything like the 2011 Super Skills competition, then we are all in for one heck of a show.
For the record, Lightning forward Steven Stamkos will be participating in theAccuracy Shooting, the Skills Challenge Relay and the Elimination Shootout.

I thought his point was disingenuous and hypocritical.. He’s perfectly happy to talk about anything and everything without getting all the facts in. He’s making it sound like this is about the media getting bad information and not about a man potentially having a life-altering injury that was potentially misdiagnosed.

They had their 4th annual police-firefighters hockey game before the AHL game, so there was already about 1500 here before warmups even started for the Admirals. The firefighters won 5-4. Just in case you were wondering. :o)

Their next game isn’t until Thursday, I think, but they’ve got to come back Wednesday for practice and to travel. Conacher, Smith, & Barberio are going to the AHL ASG in Atlantic City, tho. They’ve got to be there tomorrow, and they only get Tuesday off before they have to come back.

At least at the end of the day, you got beat by a guy with the last name "Quick" and you’re not Tim Thomas.
The highlight of the competition for me though, has to be Stammer winning the shootout elimination event. Not only because of the 3 sweet moves he laid down, but the fact he put himself into winning position with a goal on Thomas and then Jimmah was able to clinch it for him with the final save. Love when my guys work together, haha.
Looking forward to the game today. Doesn’t really matter what "team/side" wins. Just so long as our guys put on a good show. Jimmah with some great saves and of course, Pavel & Stammer with some sweet moves. Most important.. everyone stays healthy.
