Team Canada's comeback falls short during World Juniors thriller
"It was every bit as loud as 2004," was how my friend Keith described the scene at Saddledome last night, as Team Canada was on teh verge of an epic comeback against Team Russia in the Under-20 World Championships. Down 6-1, with Brett Connolly having notched the sole goal for Canada during the game, Team Canada scored 4 unanswered goals and was on the cusp of tying the game inthe waning seconds of regulation. It all went for naught, though. Pete over at Bolt Prospects has a write-up on the game, including Lightning prospect reports.
