visiting home was the problem
I don’t think we’ve had any games coinciding with bounceyhoops since I got back.
also, Tennessee was a Bolt-esque 0-7 on the road going into today. And we just flat dominated Florida. Who was ranked #8 in the country. In Gainesville. Also, beating Florida is always wonderful.

I think it depends on the arena, frankly. It wouldn’t surprise me that it’s because they’re so close to Canada, tho. Not sure if Detroit does that, too, or not.

I’ve heard that a lot of Maple Leafs fans watch games in Buffalo since getting tickets to Air Canada Centre is next to impossible – so they do get Canadians going to games there.

Thanks for the Ads updates
Critical to the development process of the many ( for the 1st time ever ) fine prospects the Bolts have at Norfolk. We still need some high end defensive prospects and a few more centers ( since Wright and Jones were traded ) but the wings and bottom 3 defensive slots all show a progression of players developing into potential NHL’ers in each of the next couple seasons.

Despite Yzerman's best efforts
This team tends to remind me of the last year that Tort’s coached the Bolts. With so many high salaried players the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines and the bottom 2 defense pairing ended up being pinched by the salary cap ( this year ) and the internal team budget of Palace Sports in the Tortorella/Feaster years. Another example of why it’s so important to draft and develop talent internally so you consistently have NHL capable players coming into the system on entry level contracts.

Feaster was handcuffed the last year of Torts tenure – the team was for sale / with a pending sale from the start to the finish. It was only at the trade deadline Feaster was allowed to move salary.
The difference between the two teams is that there is actual talent in Norfolk. Feaster only had a few cogs to work with from the minor league stock.
I’m not disagreeing with the top-heavy sentiment… I’m just saying this is a better team (though I wouldn’t mind having Johan Holmqvist)
