Tampa Bay Lightning acquire Brandon Segal from Chicago Blackhawks for Matt Fornataro

In a move that should be strictly to bolster the Norfolk Admirals team, the Tampa Bay Lightning have sent Matt Fornataro to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Brandon Segal.

Segal, a right wing, is a journeyman AHL talent that has played in the past for the Lightning organization, making his NHL debut with the Bolts in fact, Fornataro has also played widely through the AHL in his career and has yet to make his National Hockey League debut.

Both players have 25 points scored in their collective AHL seasons so far. Fornataro had played 43 games this season with the Norfolk Admirals, while Segal had played 53 with the Rockford IceHogs.
