I particularly like what Wysh wrote about it. Something to the effect of Rinaldo starting the fracas and leaving the brain-injured Schenn to deal with its aftermath.
I really, really, really don’t like Rinaldo. My sense is most players don’t, either.

He’s been the most consistent guy on the blueline, even if he’s not lighting thing sup. The Bolts defense in general is not impressive, so getting on Brewer sort of underlines issues for the defensive system.

Thoughts on the Purcell/Stamkos/Downie line? I kind of like it. Downie is a little underrated as a playmaker (mainly because he spends so much time in the penalty box).

Entry has been the Achilles’ heel for the powerplay this year. They look decent once they’re in the zone.
I know. And they have no 2nd unit whatsoever. Teams have learned to pressure them in the neutral zone

Don’t know about where you guys are, but there’s a REALLY nasty virus of some sort (stomach virus variety) floating around NC and SC right now.. A good friend of mine AND her 12 yr old daughter both ended up in the ER today. Dehydrated mostly. My friend had a bag of IV fluids, a shot of demerol and something for nausea before they sent her home this evening.
I will tell you now, you DO NOT want this bug to jump on you.

Poor Emma (she’s the 12 yr old) has been miserable for about 3 days with this mess. There was actually something on CNN the other day about this virus outbreak. There were 14 or so people that ate at one restaurant come down with it within a day of eating there, so the CDC thought is was some sort of food poisoning and shut the restaurant down, but after they went in and inspected it good, there were no violations. Turns out one of the servers came down with the crud too and they believe she may have spread it around without knowing it because she wasn’t symptomatic at the time….

I think I see the problem with teh Power play. Everyone is jockeying for position, not responding well to pressure, and Vinny is usually moving toward the crease / jockeying around the crease. I know it seems like a stupid observation, but with (usually) three guys struggling to play keep-away, Marty on the lower boards and Vinny in the crease, it feels like they lock themselves in to an inadvertent short-handed situation
