The second day of the 2012 NHL Draft gets underway at 10 this morning. The Lightning have a slate of picks throughout the day, the next beign #40 overall in the 2nd round, and we invite you to check back in with us throughout the day to rant, banter, and report on draft day happenings.

Meanwhile, how are you feeling a few hours after the selection of Slater Koekkoek and Andrei Vasilevski?

UPDATE: The Florida Panthers have opted to give up the #53 overall selection to the Lightning. The pick was acquired from Philadelphia in the Pavel Kubina deal. so Tampa Bay will select 40th and 53rd in round two as it stands right now.

(We'll update the content of this thread and, perhaps, post a new story on latter picks as the day progresses)
