For musing among the idle fans out there... I'm asking the long time Lightning afficianados as well as the newbies to chime in here... i want your thoughts and observatiosn in comments:

What is the most essential trade the Tampa Bay Lightning franchise has ever made? A move that characterizes the franchise, that's part of it's history.

That's not a question limited to a move that helped secure the Stanley Cup in 2004... So if you hae another key transaction that you think people have forgotten - feel free to post it. Or if you think of something essential post-cup era, list that too.
