Is the win over the Kings enough to take us out of the proverbial basement?

Upon reading a lot of posts on behalf of NHL power rankings and after watching a hefty amount of games this season i've found our bolts left out of the limelight. Though i wouldn't claim their a top team quite yet i believe this hot start is being severely denounced by many people.

Aside from 1 period against Chicago we've looked like a competetive team on the ice and we've rebounded as needed against the Kings tonight, thoroughly picking apart a Kings defense that is highly skilled, not too mention shutting down an underestimated and very potent offense. I feel that with this win, hanging in there with Pitt the other night and Stamkos finding his scoring rhythem we have announced our entry into playoff talks despite it being so early in the season

We're getting secondary scoring, Anders Lindback is looking above average in his starts and Ben Bishop is looking damn near elite through this small sample size, we could be better on special teams, but how are we not considered amongst competitors?

I believe Jon Cooper and co. have created a great system and have seen how well we work in 5 on 5 situations, with this goaltending boost behind us how far can we go? i don't think it's as dramatic as Pat Roys effect on the Av' nor as brilliant as the kids have been playing in San Jose, but i digress the Bolts have been playing good hockey.

I feel like if we can maintain this feeling we'll be a playoff team and definatly something to fear come playoff time, we've beat half of the conference finalist and hung in there with the 2 we lost. Despite a poor game against Chicago we snuck out 2 points and simply dismantled the Kings. If we can progress this through the season it's hard to imagine us having trouble staying up there with the best in the East (albeit the west may provide us with some losses, as i believe it to be the tougher conference)

I think our playoff hopes, and potential Stanley Cup wishes may be granted with strong play against divisional opponents and out of conference opponents, our 2nd and 3rd lines are proving to be hockey savvy and capable of scoring goals that have previously alluded us.

But i digres, what do you guys think about this "hot" start?
