Ice Sports Forum Brandon to Host Open Skate for Military

In an effort to show their appreciation for the military members in our community and raise awareness for Defending the Blue Line, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping military children play the game of hockey, the Ice Sports Forum Brandon will host a Military Appreciation open skate on Saturday, April 27th, 2013 from 1:45pm to 3:15pm.

Active duty military members and their immediate dependents are encouraged to come out and enjoy some time on the ice. Skate rentals will be provided free of charge and the Ice Sports Forum will also have skating coaches on the ice to help beginners.

The Ice Sports Forum is located at 10222 Elizabeth Place, Tampa, Florida 33619.

Defending The Blue Line is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in the spring of 2009 and managed by currently serving military personnel. Our mission is "Keeping hockey alive for the children of our nation’s heroes".

This is accomplished by providing: - Hockey equipment at no cost - Free summer hockey camps - Grants to help with local association fees - NHL game tickets for military families
