Congratulations to the 2009 Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins!

OT: JScott steps down at Buc'Em

Tampa Bay Buccaneer lead blogger jScott has resigned from the SB Nation. I'd like to pass on my well wishes to him on his career and his family.

OT: Stanley's Game Sevens

The magic of a Game 7 in the NHL's Stanley Cup Finals is not to be overlooked or ignored.

My routine was exactly the same except we didn't go home during the day. We stayed in (the Tampa Waterside Marriott) across the street from the Forum. I like to walk on the day of games, whether it's outside or at the mall or whatever. Well, I couldn't walk outside the hotel that day because it was packed with people. So I called a grade-school buddy who was in town and told him to pick me up and take me to the mall. So he picks me up, and we're driving down Kennedy Boulevard headed to WestShore mall, and he says, "I'm too nervous. I can't drive. You have to drive.'' I said, "You're nervous?!'' So I drove to the mall and walked around.

The NHL: Kings of Due Diligence

OK, I plead ignorance in a large piece of Tampa Bay Lightning franchise history that seems swept under the rug and forgotten about more often than anything... Outsourced Draft and Lightning Ownership Talk

Raw Charge reports on Toronto Sun speculation... It's a merry-go-round of rumor reporting that involves the draft and OK Hockey.

Cycle like the Sedins Interview / 2009 NHL Draft perspective

How Hard Is It For A First Round Pick To Win A Stanley Cup?

Habs Eye on the Prize mixes the forthcoming grand finale of the 2009 Stanley Cup playoffs (game seven, Friday Night, at the Joe) and the forthcoming NHL Draft to ask the question: Just how tough is it for a first round draft pick to win the Stanley Cup? And then Robert goes a little further than that... Just how tough is it for a former #1 draft pick to win Lord Stanley's Cup? The percentages and results are intimidating and shows you just how tough it is to win this piece of hardware....

Drawing from Three, there can only be One for Bolts

Videos posted at The Lightning official team website highlight Victor Hedman, Matt Duchene and John Tavares in separate clips.  There is more highlight fluff than assessment and some older...

With Lemaire out, Lightning should look higher for help

Jacques Lemaire is pursuing other job opportunities instead of the consultant role offered to him by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Instead of seeing this as a setback, the Lightning and Bolts fans should see it as an opportunity to clearly define what the role would entail..
