Saturday night's Lightning vs. Canadiens game was featured on the flagship telecast of the sport: Hockey Night In Canada. During the telecast, an "Inside Hockey" feature aired, highlighting Lightning rookie and 2013 Calder Trophy contender Cory Conacher.
Lightning rookie Cory Conacher was on NHL Live. He's suddenly become a center (he's a left wing, guys)... But it's nice to see Chaos get some time in the spotlight for his effort so far in TB.
Video from the NHLPA of last month's charity hockey game between Team Subban and Team Stamkos. Plenty of Stamkos to be seen in this clip.
Tis the season for the Teddy Bear toss! During the Syracuse Crunch victory last night at War memorial, ... well, see for yourself. It may not be as epic as what you'd see in Calgary, but for a crowd of 6,000+, I think it's just fine (and charitable!)
Jean-Philippe Cote from the Syracuse Crunch delivers a massive hip0check to Blake Geoffrion along the boards during last night's Syracuse Crunch/Hamilton Bulldogs game played in Montreal. Geoffrrion, who left the ice under his own power, was hospitalizeed as a result of the hit..
Video preview of this weekend's Syracuse Crunch games: The Crunch are road-tripping through New York and Pennsylvania, with games in Albany, Binghamton and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton slated for this weekend. Cory Conacher, Dustin Tokarski and Head Coach Jon Cooper are featured in this clip
Adult league hockey players ban together to push a broken down Zamboni at Tampa Bay Skating Academy in Oldsmar on Sunday. Unknowingly to them, this is also a metaphor for the NHL and NHLPA Collective Bargaining negotiations. Via Safety Harbor Patch
Just saw this - really have not been watching a lot of hockey since the Bolts never got to dance this season... :-( Anyway, this gave me flashbacks to the CSF series in 2004 against Montreal, even though it was Brad scoring the winner in OT rather than play the role that Vinny played that night. I was actually scared in that game 3 so long ago, that if they lost the series might go back to Tampa tied. Silly boy, what a difference 70 seconds made that night, and that series never did go back to Tampa!
