It came off like a Jedi mind trick, LW Simon Gagne was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning for all of defenseman Matt Walker and a 4th round draft pick. In hindsight, the Flyers hands were tied in where they could trade Gagne (where he would willingly go) and what they could get for him... But for GM Steve Yzerman to not part with any prospects to acquire the wing? It was a major coup.
