The AHL champion Norfolk Admirals will be losing their affiliation with the Tampa Bay Lightning, per a report from the Virginian Pilot.

Markstrom stops 43 as Rochester foils Syracuse 5-2

Caruso, LoVecchio, McArdle, Repik, and Timmins score for Amerks in penalty-riddled game from Rochester. The Crunch were 2-for-9 on the PP in a match dominated by 24 penalties. Forward A.J. Jenks collected 2 assists (+3). Rochester finished the evening with 19 SOG.

Moose won't take on Andrew Peters

The Manitoba Moose will not be taking on veteran NHL tough guy Andrew Peters. Peters is property of the Vancouver Canucks but had been loaned, along with defenceman Nathan Paetsch to the Rochester Americans. The two players, along with a number of other teammates, broke curfew last week and have been jettisoned by the Amerks. Paetsch has been loaned to the Syracuse Crunch while Peters remains without a home.

Binghamton Senators outdoor classic game officially announced

There has been a lot of talk recently about the proposed outdoor game between the Binghamton Senators and Syracuse Crunch, and the official announcement has finally been made. The game will take place at 1:00pm on February 20, 2010 in Syracuse, NY. Though tickets officially go on sale tomorrow at 10:00am, the B-Sens have been selling them since Friday. B-Sens beat Crunch 6-2

The Binghamton Senators scored six unanswered goals to come back from two down and defeat the Syracuse Crunch 6-2 on Friday night. Goals came from Zack Smith, Denis Hamel, Ryan Keller, Craig Schira, Keegan Dansereau, and Tim Spencer, while each of Brian Lee and Erik Condra had two assists. Goaltender Mike Brodeur stopped 19 of 21 shots on the night. Binghamton is now 2-0 on the year.

Crunch coaches re-signed

Tom Reed of the Dispatch reports that Syracuse Crunch coaches Ross Yates and Trent Cull have been re-signed. The Crunch, Columbus' AHL affiliate, missed the playoffs by just a few points this season.
