NYIslanders @NYIslanders #Isles confirm David Ullstrom recalled from Bridgeport. Brian Rolston has been placed on waivers.
Didn't see this up yet. I'm not sure on the rules of waivers, so I'll let someone smarter than me explain it.
Wandy Rodriguez CLAIMED on waivers. Team not yet known. #Astros #MLB

Ken Rosenthal has the scoop, and is in the process of trying to find out who the team is. It's not the Yankees or Diamondbacks. Could it be the Red Sox? Do we want it to be the Red Sox?
Steven Reinprecht is on waivers as per Bob McKenzie. He's not the checking center he once was, but he's an able-bodied veteran and certainly an upgrade on Ryan O`Marra, but at $2,050,000 he's more than twice O`Marra's salary.
As was the case with Brian Lee, David Hale cleared waivers this morning. Hale will presumably be shipped off to Binghamton (UPDATE: Hale to Binghamton confirmed), providing some much needed cap space in Ottawa.
Brian Lee, a 9th overall pick by former GM John Muckler, has been placed on waivers. Lee played only a handful of minutes in 7 games this season before being placed in the press box. If Lee and his two-year, one-way contract are picked up by another team, it could finally put an end to what has been a tumultuous relationship between Lee and the Ottawa Senators organization.
Ottawa puts David Hale on waivers.
— Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) October 5, 2010
TSN's Bob McKenzie reported on Twitter this morning that the Ottawa Senators have put defenceman David Hale on waivers. If he clears waivers, as of right now it is unclear whether Hale will remain in Ottawa or be sent to Binghamton. With Filip Kuba still injured, this would leave the Senators with six defencemen on the roster for opening night: Chris Phillips, Sergei Gonchar, Erik Karlsson, Chris Campoli, Matt Carkner, and Brian Lee. It is also worth noting that the Senators' official site lists both Hale and Derek Smith on the team roster, although D. Smith was sent to the AHL on Saturday.
#Dodgers put Kuroda on waivers. Rival exec: "I guarantee #Yankees are all over it." Kuroda owed about $2.7M. Lilly not yet on waivers. #MLB

Interesting. Wonder if Lilly and Manny are next?
Maybe he can be the extra big man that some of the people in PTR want?
Votto's sovereignty: if the traditional Triple Crown doesn't work out for him, Votto is still on pace to win the "Modern Triple Crown" -- championed by my friend Joe Posnanski over at SI.com... But even if the Reds' big bopper doesn't win either trifecta, the "Double Crown" Votto is chasing would still land him in some cool company. Also the Crown Victoria, Crown Regal and Crown Heights (sentence mine). Ready your Harangues: The Reds were trying to drum up interest in Aaron Harang, even though he's been on the disabled list for a month with back spasms. Harang figures to be a potential August attraction if he resembles any semblance of his former self.
