03.26.2014 Tampa Bay Lightning versus Nashville Predators game day coverage

The second-to-last homestand of the season, the current six-game stand, comes to an end tonight for the Tampa Bay Lightning (46-21-7) as they square off with the second-place club of the Central Division in the Nashville Predators (45-21-8).
This will be the second straight game the Predators face one of the top teams of the Atlantic Division, they played against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday and pulled out an overtime win over Le Bleu, Blanc, et Rouge. It is by way of Nashville’s OT effort that the Lightning are only one point behind Les Habs for the division lead today.
Nashville comes in to Tampa in a comparable spot in the standings – one point behind the division leader (in there case, it’s the St. Louis Blues). They will not be scorebaord watching tonight as the Blues nor Chicago Blackhawks are playing. The Lightning, on the other hand, should be aware both Montreal and Detroit are playing (Winnipeg and San Jose, respectively).
