Despite my dislike of matinees - and greater dislike for back-to-back matinees - the show must go on! yes, I am being dramatic, but it's Oscar night, so I am allowed, I think...?

Mathieu Garon starts in net for the Lightning this afternoon. He was chased from his last start (in Winnipeg)... No matter what the Devils do to him (if they light him up, that is), expect him to last the entire game / not be relieved of duties. Why? Because Dwayne Roloson suffered the same fate yesterday in Pittsburgh during the utter and ridiculous route at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

And while we are speaking this morning about goaltending, and with the 2012 NHL trade deadline looming, you can scratch AHL goalie Ben Bishop off your shopping list of trade-deadline wants. Though the Tampa Bay Times reported on the Lightning wanting Bishop, it appears Ben is headed to the Ottawa Senators franchise.

Going back to the lineup for today -- Evan Oberg has been recalled from the Norfolk Admirals, and Victor Hedman is likely out with an upper body injury.
