One concern whenever NHL teams select European players is the percent chance that player will eventually come to North America.
While the quality of overseas is very high, there are certainly reasons to believe coming to North America sooner is better for a prospects overall development -- the NHL team can oversee things more easily, and adjusting to the rink size and style of play is easier the earlier a player starts.

The CHL Import Draft is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2, at 11 AM Eastern, which is when we will find out with CHL team gets Masin's rights.
