  • Tyler Johnson and Steven Stamkos were selected to go to the 2015 NHL All-Star Game in Columbus, Ohio. The full list of talent attending the festivities is here. Among some surprises: the omission of Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk and Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban. []

  • The Calgary Flames are reportedly preparing to purchase the ECHL team in Stockton, California. Calgary wants a Western affiliate in the AHL, which could spell the relocation of the team that currently plays in Glens Falls, N.Y.   • Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard, who was named to the 2015 All-Star Game, was carted off on a stretcher after making a very painful save attempt. []
  • Finally, I'm pretty sure this goalie for the Boston University Terriers is going to have nightmares about this goal for weeks. Yep, he got scored on from nearly 200 feet away:
