With a month remaining in the NHL season, a playoff-caliber showdown is on the docket tonight at Bell Centre as the Tampa Bay Lightning (41-20-6) face the Montreal Canadiens (42-18-6) in a top-tier Atlantic Division showdown.
Montreal leads Tampa Bay by two points in the division standings, with a game in hand, they're also 5-3-2 in their past 10 games as compared to the Bolts 7-3-0. The Lightning have been a manageable 15-14-5 in road contests this season while Les Habs are 22-7-4 at Bell Centre.
It took more than the regulation 60 minutes, but the relentless Tampa Bay Lightning attack finally put a puck over the red line behind Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price in a 1-0 overtime win at the Bell Centre.
Tonight is one of three remaining head-to-head confrontations between the Lightning and Canadiens. Three opportunities for either club to do what it can to make a direct claim for the 2015 Atlantic Division title.
