The NHL playoffs are set to begin today for the Tampa Bay Lightning (#2) as they face off against the Detroit Red Wings (#3) at Amalie Arena in Tampa.
The Lightning finished the regular season 50-24-8 with 108 points while Detroit finished the 2014-15 regular season with a 43-25-14 record and 100 points. Head to head Tampa Bay went 3-1-0 against Detroit, while the record is a little different (1-2-1) from the Red Wings perspective because the first contest between the two clubs this season went to the shootout.
