The end of the NHL regular season is upon us as the Tampa Bay Lightning (48-24-8) return to Amalie Arena for their final two games, starting tonight's face-off with the New Jersey Devils (32-35-13).
The Devils are playing for pride at this point and the only thing to gain from a win against the Bolts is a morale boost as well as a loss of entry draft lottery odds. The Devils never played the secon half with the intention to tank, evn if the club has been coached by committee since the firing of (head coach name) in (date).
Teams in the Devils position don't just roll over and die, though. They can do some damage and have nothing to lose.
